““Wow! What an interesting evening at your masterclass talk the other night. It gave me so much to think about and it made so much sense as to why I’m having my symptoms.” Dawn T, UK
I came along to your evening in Portsmouth recently and you certainly struck a note with me and having spoken with you briefly afterwards about how one glass of wine makes my hands swell and your response of “liver cleanse, get your bloods done” has given me a focus like never before! It was an amazing seminar, so thank you.” Lynda P, UK
Calling all Birmingham women – it’s your turn now! I am so excited to be speaking at Conference Aston in Sheffield on March 5th on peri-menopause and menopause. I hope you can join us. I can’t wait to tell you about my discoveries about menopause and wellness as we go into our biological ‘ageing’ and what you can do to manage your own wellness. Dr Wendy Sweet Women’s Healthy Ageing Researcher
My fascination with the link between menopause and healthy ageing began when peri-menopause came raging along when I was 50. It took me by surprise. And when I heard from my PhD participants that they had similar issues, I realised that women in their 50’s are forgotten when it comes to understanding what to do to turn around menopause symptoms, including weight gain without resorting to expensive, short-acting supplements and HRT.
That’s when I decided to look into it. Menopause is the gateway to our biological ageing and in many cultures around the world, there is not the same symptoms chaos that women in many western countries, including the UK and New Zealand, are experiencing. I was curious to know why this was. And I found that by looking at menopause through the lens of our biological ageing, I was able to put into place powerful strategies that enabled me to change my energy levels, get my healing sleep back, wittle off 15kg and restore hormonal harmony in my aching joints and muscles. All without the emphasis on vigorous exercise and dieting which I tried, but which made my symptoms worse.
This is what this seminar is about. Following an early career in nursing and then the health and fitness industry, followed by university-level lecturing in a range of exercise science and wellbeing topics, I have combined my 30 years of knowledge and experience to bring this seminar to you. I hope you can join me. I want to get the word out that mid-life matters to women. And in an ageing world, women must remain healthy, relevant and energetic. We are often still working and have a lot still to get done – another 30 years of living in fact! If this is you, but menopause has blind-sided your energy, your weight and your mojo, then please join me on March 5th in Birmingham. I won’t let you down.
Dr Wendy Sweet, Women’s Healthy Ageing Researcher & MyMT Creator & Coach
“I loved it when the treadmill at the gym said that my biological age was only 38 years – I’m 54. After attending Wendy’s seminar in Edinburgh last year, I am so pleased that I joined her on her programme. It is life-changing.” Helen K, Edinburgh 2020
“My deepest thanks to Dr Wendy Sweet for her Transform Me menopause weight loss program which I was able to glean so much from. The directions were clear and the results positive. After 8.5 years of night hot ‘flushes’ I was able to re-direct how and what I ate, and recognize the correlation of what foods or protein, was triggering much of this. The insight was extremely helpful and I now feel amazing.” Cheryl K, British Columbia 2020
