The MyMT™ Kitchen: Discover your Joy of Juicing with Yinka at JuiceyFIT.

When Yinka from Bedfordshire (just north of London), applied to come on board as a MyMT™ Affiliate Coach last year, I noticed that not only was she a Registered Nutritionist, but she also advertises herself as a ‘Juicing Therapist’. I sent her an email.

“Yinka, the ladies would love to have one of your juicing recipes – would you mind sharing one please?”

So, she did. I know that not all of you have tried juicing, but it is so worth doing to help you to reduce inflammation and increase your antioxidant nutrients. Here is Yinka’s Juice Recipe for you all to try this week in the MyMT™ Kitchen.

Since completing the MyMT™ professional development course Yinka has been working hard to get the vital lifestyle science information out to midlife women in her community.

She is determined to make sure that everyone, no matter their economic status, nor ethnicity, or location has access to resources and education to get them through their transition.

I am so proud of what Yinka has been able to achieve, so for those of you who are based around the Bedfordshire area, and are interested in starting the MyMT™ Transform Me or Circuit Breaker Programmes, I invite you to get in touch with Yinka at info@juiceyfit.co.uk. Yinka is qualified to coach and support you alongside your MyMT™ programme. As part of her coaching, you will also receive access to her online gym classes and lots more delicious juicing recipes and workshops.

“As a juicing therapist, I hold workshops for my clients and community to teach them about the benefits of juicing for health. As a generation of women, men included, we have had a lot of exposure to the wrong foods which have compromised the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract.

This is where juicing vegetables comes to our aid – to give the digestive system a break and the opportunity to repair, so it can do a better job of digestion, waste removal, detoxification, and other necessary functions.

I love trying different juices. Some, I don’t expect to make it to the family favourites list, but this one did the trick. I named it after my middle daughter because when I made it for the first time I took a sip and then gave it to her to try. Before I could ask her how it was, she drank the whole glass of juice. I guess that was the taster’s approval I needed.

Beetroot is one of my favourite root vegetables and for many good reasons too, including their dark red colour. Beetroot is a good source of Folic Acid, Vitamin C and Potassium which is good for heart health.

Since completing Wendy’s professional development programme, I have now realised the importance of betaine and the anti-inflammatory compounds that are specific to helping reduce blood pressure and dilate our arteries as we age and move through menopause.

Beetroot can be eaten raw or cooked, including the stem and the beetroot leaves. No part of this vegetable is wasted! I hope you enjoy making it and drinking it as much as my clients do!”
