WELCOME! Thank you for joining me here. I’m Dr Wendy Sweet [PhD], Women’s Healthy Ageing Researcher and Founder of My Menopause Transformation. When I was in my late-40’s and early 50’s, I was a university lecturer and completing my studies into the role of exercise on women’s healthy ageing. I had no idea that my curiosity about our health as we come through our mid-life years would lead me here to you…. so I want you to be curious about these questions as you listen to my 40 minute webinar…. because I became curious about them too.

These were the questions I kept asking myself as I undertook my doctoral studies on women’s healthy ageing. What I discovered astounded me. And it’s why I now understand that our symptoms are just being looked at by health specialists in isolation. The big picture of how our hormones balance themselves is not being factored in. Nor is our lifestyle or the changes that occur in our muscles, liver, pancreas and cardio-vascular system as we biologically age.

In my seminars that I take around the world, I often say that women in their 50’s are the forgotten generation and that while we were promised we would get to 50 and feel fabulous, the opposite is often true.
