For most of us, the New Year is a time for rest, relaxation and reflection. You know, thinking about the year that’s been and what you might want to do differently this year. I know myself that mid-life is a time when our health can change so rapidly as this happened to me as well.

Surprisingly, so many mid-life women (nor Exercise Professionals or Nutritionists) don’t understand that menopause weight loss has nothing to do with diet or exercise, but all to do with sleeping all night and managing hot flushes, night sweats and a condition called Oestrogen Dominance.
This condition refers to the increased storage of excess oestrogen in fat cells as many of us go through menopause. Many of these excess oestrogen compounds come from our environment, food choices and even medicines and HRT. When fat cells store excess oestrogen, then this hormone dominates in comparison to progesterone.
