I’m so thankful to Taryn and Claire from FitRight Physios in Perth and Anita, from Curves in Canberra, for hosting me for my Masterclass on Menopause seminars in Australia this week. It’s been amazing to meet women and some of my clients as well. When women attend they are blown away when most hands go up in the room when I ask ‘who is awake between 2-4am?’ – when they look around at all the hands shooting up in the air, they know they aren’t alone!

That’s why I love taking these seminars and women attending discover how my research into women’s healthy ageing led me down the rabbit-hole of our menopause transition. Part of the reason that we feel that our symptoms are over-taking our lives is that our modern lifestyle and the inflammation that has been accumulating for decades is clashing with our changing biology, which is part of our life-cycle. So, women discover why their symptoms are creating chaos with their moods, motivation, exercise tolerance, weight management, sleep and more. Most importantly, they learn how I’ve positioned menopause in our biological ageing, and when we change our food and exercise to match how our body is losing oestrogen, and we reduce the inflammation that has been accumulating and turn around our sleep, then this has a powerful effect of reducing our symptoms. So many women turn to various pills and potions as we transition through this life-stage, but as women find out during my seminars, what we need to do is to change our lifestyle to match our changing hormonal environment … and this is more powerful than we are led to believe.

I love it when women come to my Masterclass on Menopause seminars and as they are leaving I hear them say, “wow, now I know why I’m feeling this way. It all makes so much sense.”
