Hi and welcome. I’m Dr Wendy Sweet [PhD], Women’s Healthy Ageing Researcher and Founder of My Menopause Transformation.
When I was in my late-40’s and early 50’s, I was a university lecturer and completing my studies into the role of exercise on women’s health as they arrived in mid-life. I had no idea that my curiosity about the two questions above, would lead me here to you … I explain why in my Masterclass on Menopause.
Exploring menopause and post-menopause symptoms through the lens of ageing and healthy lifestyle studies, was pivotal to me turning around my own sleep, sore joints, emotional changes, hot flushes and losing over 15kg in menopause weight which had arrived in my late 40’s and early 50’s. What I discovered astounded me and I want you to know what I learnt.
For example, if you have sore joints, did you know that our tendons have numerous oestrogen receptors in them, so when we go through menopause, they lose their elasticity? In my Masterclass you’ll learn the ONE nutrient you need in your diet, which has been scientifically evidenced to replace the role of oestrogen in our tendons.
And did you know that many of our symptoms are just being looked at by health specialists in isolation of the ‘whole body’? The role of other hormones which help to re-balance the body aren’t being factored into the menopause puzzle – this includes your sleep, gut and thyroid hormones – all of which are involved in temperature regulation.
