“With chronic fatigue and weight gain, I wish I had found this program earlier than I did.” [Kaz, New Zealand]

Whenever I’m visiting Wanaka, I think of Kaz. It’s a reminder that even when you live in one of the most beautiful locations in the world and you enjoy an active, outdoor lifestyle, menopause can still hit you hard. When health professional, Kaz, struggled with poor sleep, chronic fatigue, hot flushes, weight gain and sore joints, her beautfiul environment was no consolation for the menopause mayhem she was experiencing.

That’s why I was so pleased when Kaz came into the MyMT™ community.  As a qualified Holistic Lifestyle Practitioner and Functional Medicine Coach, Kaz, was as confused as I had been, when hitting our late 40’s and early 50’s. Desipte a healthy lifestyle, the weight refused to budge and the energy levels plummeted. Coming onto the 12 week online MyMT Transform Me programme, Kaz said, “I wish I had found it earlier than I did.”

Look at this gorgeous photo of Kaz. I’m so pleased that she shared it with us – I love how she looks energetic, vibrant and confident, which is how we all should feel in mid-life!

Kaz runs Reset Lab in Wanaka, New Zealand. Her approach is to use functional medicine testing to analyse stools, saliva, urine and hair,  which helps to identify root causes of hormonal imbalance. This gives her specific information on clients to be able to then design personalised programmes using food, herbs, supplements and other lifestyle solutions.  When her own symptoms were leaving her exhausted, she was doing her own lonely research which led her to discover MyMT™.  I’m so thankful she did and so is she.

As Kaz says,

I suffered chronic fatigue, insomnia, hypo-thyroidism and weight gain. There has been little information out there on menopause and I ended up with Qualifications in Nutrition, Naturopathy, Functional Medicine and Herbalism before I could really understand how to help myself. I wish I had found Wendy’s course earlier. Wendy has done such an incredible job of un-tangling menopause symptoms and aligning specific lifestyle solutions to each symptom, which meant that I could finally connect some of the missing pieces of the puzzle specific to menopause for myself as well.  I especially found the food advice so helpful in a world full of diets for everything.

What I also loved was how small changes that Wendy suggests in the programme made such big improvements. Her wisdom on what to eat and when, worked very well for me. Small changes helped my sleep and assisted me to re-balance my blood sugar levels. By knowing when to drink the healthy juices that are in the programme and the timing of food, meant I did not have to give up the things I loved. This gave me better sleep, more energy and better control over weight in a very healthy balanced way.

Doing Wendy’s course was the icing on the cake. Thanks Wendy for your amazing program. The information you have researched and put together has been so helpful.”

You’re welcome Kaz!

If you would like to learn more about the MyMT programmes (Circuit Breaker for leaner/ thinner women and Transform Me for women who are overweight), then please visit the MyMT website here. These self-learning online programmes focus on my women’s healthy ageing research and the need to focus on the 7 pillars of our health as we age.

I became so confused myself about all the mis-information out there about how to look after ourselves during menopause. But the more I read, the more I realised that from our hormonal health to our exercise to our nutrition, cardiac health, our stress management, our weight management and even to how we age healthily, women in mid-life have been relatively forgotten in terms of the biological research over the years. Fortunately, this is slowly changing.

In designing the programmes for women like Kaz and the hundreds of others who have joined me in the MyMT™ community, I have pulled together a variety of research subjects that are specific to women in menopause.

Each programme is designed through the lens of our ‘biological ageing’ which is what menopause is. I love how women from all around the world are learning what I had to learn myself. You have your own private learning hub and you listen to my step-by-step webinars and videos, where I teach you how to feel like your old self again. It’s my privilege to help women like Kaz feel their best and get their life back on track for the important work that they still have to do.
