“I wasn’t exercising due to pain, but now I’m back walking every day!”

“I joined the program during the first lockdown here in Australia, with 4 kg of extra weight, high cholesterol and hip pain in both hips. I had stopped most exercise due to pain.

But as I worked through Wendy’s programme, it led me to make some key changes to my diet as she suggested. Reducing animal protein and fat was one of these changes.

I’ve now replaced this with fish and vegetarian meals most of the time and cut out dairy other than yoghurt. I’ve introduced lots more veggies and fruit and changed my water intake.

So far, I’ve lost 4 kg and kept it off, my cholesterol has reduced and my hip pain has improved. I’m back to walking everyday and can now do bush walks again. This photo above was taken on a recent walk in Booderee National Park in Jervis Bay, Australia. I’m so grateful for the MyMT™ programme.”
